SCRA/FXFOWLE Art Bar is Installed at Miami Project Art Fair

The Art Bar that has been blogged about several times here has arrived safely in Miami and has been installed in the FXFOWLE Lounge Pavilion at the Miami Project art fair that takes place this week.

The bar incorporates recycled material, namely the carbon fiber material derived from scrap parts, including aircraft components, developed by MIT-RCF and utilizes a process described on this blog for creating composite materials with a greater tensile strength than typical fiberglass.

The bar is available for purchase and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to charities, including 10% toward the Miami Art Museum and 10% to support men and women of the armed forces through the Wounded Warriors Project. A limited production run of no more than 10 pieces will also be considered. For information regarding purchase, contact Mark Anderson, Vice President of Business Development, at mark.anderson@scra.org.
